THE MULTISECTORAL HIV/AIDS PROGRAM

The overall objective of the Multisectoral HIV/AIDS Program is to support the implementation of the national AIDS strategy. The prevention and impact reduction programs of the epidemic are carried out through responses formulated by communities (rural, urban, and specific groups) and through sectoral responses formulated by all sectors of the country (health, education, women and family, social affairs, transport, tourism, agriculture, defense, youth and sports, etc.)

  1. Program components

    The program activities are implemented through the following five components

    • Support for local response ;
    • Support for the health sector response ;
    • Support for coordination ;
    • Support to Monitoring and Evaluation ;
    • Support for the development and implementation of sectoral strategies.
  2. The Program Delivery Structures

    The program is designed and supervised by the National AIDS Control Committee (NACC). The coordination and implementation structures of the program are:

    • The National AIDS Control Committee (NACC);
    • The Regional AIDS Control Committee (RACC);
    • The Sectoral AIDS Control Committees.
  3. The Implementing Bodies

    The Implementing Bodies:

    • The Central Technical Group (CTG) ;
    • The Regional Technical Groups (RTG).

    The Central Technical Group is the executive body of the National AIDS Control Committee.
