Update on national HIV/AIDS 2025 estimates and projections

Service Details

In the context of strengthening the national response to HIV/AIDS and continuous improvement of strategic planning, a workshop for the finalization of HIV/AIDS 2025 estimates and projections, chaired by NACC Permanent Secretary, was held from April 27 to 30, 2026, at the Nkolandom Tourist Center.
This workshop brought together the country estimates team, composed of representatives from UNAIDS, the CDC, the US Department of State, EGPAF, the Ministry of Public Health, the Central Technical Group of the CNLS as well as the Regional Technical Groups.
The work was conducted in line with recent data from the 2024/2025 CAMPHIA survey, allowing for a refinement of the key indicators of the epidemic. This update of the 2025 estimates constitutes a major strategic step for the alignment of national interventions, notably within the framework of the Global Fund’s Grant Cycle 8 (GC8) and the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). It will also help to guide programmatic priorities, optimize resource allocation and strengthen the impact of interventions in achieving epidemic control objectives.
