Strengthening community HIV response

Service Details

The 2nd coordination meeting for community HIV response interventions has been held. The meeting took place in Yaounde on Thursday, May 07, in NACC’s conference room. The meeting had as objective to coordinate and harmonize the actions of Implementing Partners (IPs) and community Principal Recipients (PRs) for greater impact on the ground.
The session reviewed performances recorded during the 1st quarter of 2026. Participants examined results achieved, identified bottlenecks, and proposed corrective measures to improve the coverage and quality of community services.
Collaboration between CARE and FHI360 at the regional level was also central to discussions. The two organizations specifically addressed joint data validation, a key mechanism to ensure reporting reliability and avoid duplication of interventions.
This strengthened coordination aligns with the priorities of the National Strategic Plan for the Fight against HIV/AIDS. It aims to optimize resources and accelerate progress toward achieving the 95-95-95 targets in Cameroon.
