Meeting to Present the Pediatric Surge Report and Coordinate Activities Related to the Implementation of the FECh Strategy

On Thursday, February 19, 2026, a meeting was held at the Jouvence International Hotel to present the Pediatric Surge report and coordinate activities related to the implementation of the FECh strategy. 

The meeting centered on various presentations. Notably, the release of the Pediatric Surge report represents a real opportunity for Cameroon to address this major equity gap among children and adolescents. One of the objectives was to accelerate progress toward controlling the epidemic among children and adolescents in the 10 regions, as well as the presentation of the FECh strategy, which has been implemented in the FOSA and communities. Looking ahead, it will be expanded to all health zones for further implementation.

This meeting saw massive participation from several health sector organizations and partners, notably the NACC, WHO, CDC, EGPAF, CBCHS, ACMS, DLMEP, DSF, and CSASS, as well as other technical and institutional actors committed to strengthening public health initiatives.
