In response to the suspension of U.S. funding (USAID/PEPFAR/PMI) for a sustainable response in Cameroon, the Grant Coordination Unit (UCS) held a preparatory meeting for the workshop to finalize and validate the mitigation plan.

This meeting, which took place in the CTG-NACC conference room, provided an opportunity to present an analysis of the impacts of the suspension of U.S. funding on the three programs (HIV, Tuberculosis, and Malaria), the progress of the mitigation plan, and to finalize the organization of the workshop to finalize and validate said plan, which will be held from March 11 to 14, 2025, in Douala. The workshop’s objectives will be to:

  • Reach a consensus among national stakeholders on the plan’s interventions;
  • Break down the plan’s interventions into specific activities;
  • Finalize cost estimates;
  • Schedule the various budgeted activities over time;
  • Propose indicators for monitoring results.

This meeting, chaired by the GCU, was attended by the National Coordinating Body (ICN), the FTPs, and civil society stakeholders.
