A consultation meeting regarding the partial lifting of the suspension of U.S. foreign aid for the provision of vital HIV services was held on March 4, 2025, at the Central Technical Group of the National Committee for the Fight Against AIDS.
The meeting, chaired by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Joseph FOKAM, brought together the Executive Director of CHP, the Global Fund Project Coordinator at CARE Cameroon, the CHP/CHILL Project Coordinator, the NACC Deputy Permanent Secretary, the PEPFAR technical expert, as well as all NACC section heads. The focus of the meeting was to identify activities subject to restrictions and the programmatic consequences related to the current situation. Proposed solutions were put forward to strengthen the mitigation plan currently being developed, which will be finalized in the coming days.
