A quarterly coordination meeting for stakeholders in the fight against HIV is currently underway in Bamenda, in the North-West Region. Organized by NACC/RTG North-West with financial support from Global Health Solutions, a PEPFAR partner, this meeting aims to assess the performance of activities carried out by stakeholders and to strengthen collaboration.
Discussions are focusing on various projects, including the strengthening of public health laboratories, sample transport, and the HIV-Free project. Participants also presented the results of the Children Momentum, Equality, and Pediatric Breakthrough projects. Emphasis is being placed on improving the distribution of antiretroviral drugs and their dispensing in community settings.
Stakeholders will review progress made in the first quarter of the fiscal year and activities planned for the second quarter. The meeting is coordinated by the Regional Public Health Delegate for the Northwest Region, with representatives from various organizations in attendance, including the RTG HIV NW, PEPFAR, ministries, councils, district health centers (CHDs), and several foundations.
This initiative is part of Cameroon’s efforts to achieve UNAIDS’ 95-95-95 targets by 2030, with a focus on strengthening community capacity to combat HIV/AIDS
