Preparation for the 24th edition of the “AIDS Free Holidays” campaign
As part of preparations for the 24th edition of the “AIDS Free Holidays” campaign, a workshop to develop the project document, communication plan, awareness messages, and communication materials was held in Ebolowa from May 26 to 29, 2026.
At the end of the workshop, a communication plan was developed to guide awareness activities and ensure better visibility of the campaign across the national territory.
The major innovation of this 24th edition is the integration of malaria and tuberculosis control programs into the “AIDS Free Holidays” campaign activities. This integrated approach aims to strengthen prevention, awareness, and health promotion efforts for young people and communities by addressing four major public health challenges simultaneously.
Through this initiative, the National AIDS Control Committee reaffirms its commitment to promoting informed, responsible, and healthy youth, while consolidating synergies between the different programs fighting priority diseases in Cameroon.
