A quarterly coordination meeting with stakeholders involved in the HIV response on June 5, 2026
The National AIDS Control Committee (NACC), through the North West Regional Technical Group, convened a quarterly coordination meeting with stakeholders involved in the HIV response on June 5, 2026, at the Main Hall of the North West Regional Fund for Health Promotion (NWRFHP) in Bamenda. The meeting brought together technical and financial partners, community-based organizations, and representatives of various sectors engaged in the fight against HIV to assess progress and reinforce collaboration for a more effective regional response.
The coordination meeting served as a platform to review and evaluate the performance of HIV response activities implemented during the previous quarter across the region. Participants examined achievements, discussed implementation challenges, and assessed the extent to which planned activities were carried out by the different stakeholders. The forum also provided an opportunity for implementing partners to present and validate their action plans for the upcoming quarter, ensuring alignment with regional and national HIV response priorities.
In addition, stakeholders were updated on new innovations, guidelines, and strategic approaches aimed at improving HIV prevention, care, and treatment services. Discussions focused on identifying project-specific bottlenecks and developing collaborative solutions to address implementation challenges. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all partners to strengthen coordination, monitoring, and follow-up mechanisms in order to accelerate progress toward ending HIV as a public health threat in the North West Region.
