THE REGIONAL TECHNICAL GROUP (RTG)

In each of the ten regions of the country, a Regional Technical Group (RTG) is responsible for implementing the actions of the programme at regional level, under the supervision of the RTG or the Regional Committee, as appropriate.  


The RTG is responsible for :

  • Providing technical support to partners involved in local and sectoral responses; 
  • Carrying out missions to monitor the implementation of community action plans as part of local responses and sectoral plans;  
  • Organising and implementing behaviour change communication and social marketing activities; 
  • Monitoring the quality of financial management and reporting at community level;  
  • Preparing the consolidated and budgeted annual action plan and submitting it to the RTG or Regional Committee for approval, as appropriate;
  • Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the Action Plan;  
  • considering any matter referred to it by the RTG or the Regional Committee, as appropriate;  
  • Coordinate epidemiological and behavioural surveillance activities at the regional level;  
  • Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the regional strategy of the programme;  
  • report to the RTG and the Regional Committee on all its activities on a quarterly basis.
